New Transformational Journey — Guadalupe Art Program
Saturday, October 31, 2009

On Saturday, October 31st, guided by Rev. Canon Mary Moreno Richardson, we will study and participate in the Guadalupe Art Program in San Diego, an amazing workshop of spiritual empowerment for youth and women. The program is especially concerned with addressing violence against women and children. We Guadalupewill spend the day at a detention center for unaccompanied/undocumented minors, children of families broken apart by our immigration policy. These are the children in search of relatives and the American dream; many are victims of human trafficking. We will offer the Eucharist to the children and then host a Dia de los Muertos/Halloween celebration. Your various talents - costuming, make-up, music, art - will be welcome!
The group will depart from Pasadena on Saturday morning, spend the day with Rev. Mary, reflect on their experience at lunch and return to Pasadena by early evening. We will be staying north of the border so passports won't be needed. For more information, please contact Catherine Swanson at 626.583.2750 or cswanson@allsaints-pas.org or any member of the Transformational Journeys Ministry. Learn more>
